Ashfield Healthcare are delighted to be working with Intrapharm Laboratories to recruit a Direct to Headcount Territory Manager to cover the South Central region. This is a new and exciting role and will see the successful applicant working with key clinicians and AQP’s in predominantly secondary care / CCG’s and some primary care in the area of Brands and Branded Generics.  Speciality therapy areas include Rheumatology / Dermatology .


Intrapharm were founded in 1999, and are a rapidly expanding speciality pharmaceutical company with many years of experience in both the sales and marketing of pharmaceutical products in both the UK and Republic of Ireland. Innovative collaboration with both UK and international companies has led to the successful commercialisation of many niche pharmaceutical and 'Over the Counter' products.

  • Understands both the National and local NHS environment and their impact (e.g. patient and financial flows) on each other and local prescribing. 
  • Aptitude to develop high level of product, competitor and therapy area knowledge.
  • Drive sales and advocacy through successful interactions with clinicians, AQP’s, nurses, GP’s, and other healthcare professionals across Secondary & Primary care when needed.
  • Thorough understanding of the emerging multi-stakeholder environment, develops and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of customer needs.
  • Works collaboratively with support functions to determine which resources best fits the customer and/or circumstances. 
  • Development and maintenance of relationships with key consultants, GP’s, GPswi’s, nurses, Pharmacy and other relevant decision makers to create the optimal environment for brand success.
  • Working the territory is a Key Account Management mind-set.  
  • Planning, organising and honouring appointments and meetings with Primary and Secondary healthcare staff in the defined territory
  • Exceed sales and activity targets
  • Identifying and establishing new business for Intrapharm’ s products
  • Negotiating contracts with dispensing practices
  • Demonstrating or presenting products to healthcare staff including doctors, nurses and pharmacists
  • Meeting both the business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining detailed records including customer calls, administrative tasks
  • Attending and organising exhibitions, conferences and meetings - occasionally on a weekend (Saturday)
  • Managing own budgets – promotional lunch and stand meetings including general expenses
