Ashfield is currently recruiting for a number of exciting opportunities to work as a Key Account Manager with Astellas. Key Responsibilities
Compliance
• Embed Compliance Culture across all areas of the business ensuring Integrity in Action is actively applied in all initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to Astellas policies relating to Ethics and Compliance standards.
• To ensure all activities are compliant with company standards and the ABPI Code
• Being aware of the PMCPA code of conduct and ensuring that all standards are met

Business Development
• Responsible for the development of Astellas urology business within the accounts
• To achieve the sales targets of the accounts through securing local funding, inclusion of Astellas products on formulary, changes to protocol and service redesign (including changes to care pathway) by interaction with but not limited to the following customers:
         o Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) leads
         o Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) medicines management
         o Urologists who are key to account decision making
         o Hospital management
         o Hospital pharmacists who are key to account decision making
• Managing contacts with commissioning opinion leaders and developing advocates for speaker meetings
• Developing an integrated business plan with the Urology Business Manager and Urology Business Leader which clearly outlines the territory strategy and activities required. Working in line with Astellas national priorities and guidance, the plan should include identified ways of protecting and growing Astellas business and the development of new partnerships as required. The plan should include projects and timescales, budgets, business objectives, customer action plans, local influence map and should span the primary/secondary care interface 
• Make recommendations for deployment of Urology Account Executive and Urology Account Representative in the accounts to the Urology Business Manager based on local business knowledge and detailed knowledge of local impact of NHS changes and local influence map
• Coordinating and directing these strategic activities with Urology Account Executive and Urology Account Representative in line with account plans
• Agreeing clear and SMART objectives with Urology Business Manager and Urology Business Leader. Conducting regular reviews, putting into place additional activities as required
• Accountability for delivery of the local business plan to agreed timescales including performance management of multiple projects in line with identified objectives and quality and service agreements

Product Knowledge
• Maintaining high levels of disease area and product, NHS and customer knowledge at all times and participating in training programmes as appropriate

Administration
• Ensuring that all administration tasks are completed and targets are met – Project plans Pathfinder reporting, expenses etc. 
• Actively managing budgets on an ongoing basis to ensure budget compliance

Other Responsibilities
• Attending internal and external business meetings, seminars, sales conferences and other events which may involve overnight stays and regular travel across the UK (and occasionally abroad)
• Maintaining a level of IT competence which enables use of company communication and reporting systems and utilisation of relevant Microsoft Office e.g. excel based programmes for monitoring sales, investment return etc.
• Undertaking any other appropriate tasks as may arise from time to time e.g. task force participation or liaising with Marketing
• Invest time in own personal development
• Other such duties as may be reasonably required by the business.

Essential Skills

• Pharmaceutical sector experience 
• In role Market Access experience
• Practical experience of working in partnership with the NHS with tangible business outcome desirable
• Previous expertise for end-to-end process including working with Procurement and Finance functions and third parties.
• Expertise in purchase order initiation, management and processing: ability to track, monitor and report.
• Track record dealing with insurance claims, accidental damage and remedial actions.
• Proven expertise in utilising MS Office and various databases (typing, input, updating, reporting).
• Proven understanding of, and interest in, various vehicle manufacturers, car options and benefits, fuel and CSR considerations, tax implications etc. 
• Experienced in dealing with internal company stakeholders at all levels.  Ability to liaise credibly and, challenge appropriately with due consideration for cultural differences.
• Willing/able to drive; valid driving licence. 
• Appreciation of relevant Compliance and Regulatory legislation, application and forthcoming changes
• IT literate with proven expertise in utilising MS Office and various databases (typing, input, updating, reporting).
• Ability to liaise credibly and, challenge appropriately with due consideration for cultural differences.
